Meet our lead storytellers
Ryan Degama
Story Director
Ryan has lived all around the world: in a hostel in Edinburgh, Scotland, an apartment in downtown Toronto and a house in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. A longtime basketball junkie, Ryan has since retired from pickup hoops and now spends much of his time attending to his loyal-but-demanding cattle dog and lingering in bookstores and vineyards for longer than is strictly necessary.
Jason Mathis
Creative Director
Jason Mathis comes to storytelling from a visual and fine arts background, with a particular focus on graphic design, comic books, painting and printmaking. He oversees all visual creative work for Midtown Mystery and partners with our clients on story execution.
For over two decades, Jason has lived and told stories around the world, including stops in Massachusetts, Kingston, Calgary and almost a decade in Glasgow, Scotland where he completed his MFA at The Glasgow School of Art. He’s a craft brewer, board gamer and a surprisingly confident tennis player, given his particular set of skills.
